How It Works
The Scar Heal Kit minimizes your risk for developing a scar after your breast procedure. We recommend starting as soon as your stitches are removed and your wound is completely closed. The Scar Heal Kit is a simple system that maximizes results.
Silicone helps create an occlusive barrier to limit water loss through the skin. The reduction in TEWL helps prevent excess collagen build up. It's the best non-invasive solution to minimize raised scarring such as keloids and hypertrophic scars.
The Scar Heal Kit combines two proven solutions: Scar Fx Silicone Sheeting and RejuvaSil Silicons Scar Gel. Silicone is the number one ingredient for scar management according to the International Advisory Panel on Scar Management.
Each combination includes a sheet of Scar Fx that corresponds to a specific set of procedures (mastopexy, breast augmentation, breast lift, transaxillary, etc). The breast sheets are available in 5 different shapes. Check the chart below to find which sheet best fits your procedure.
Physician Approved Scar Heal System
Combine our three silicone-based scar management products for a comprehensive, physician-approved post-surgical scar treatment system.
SCAR FX AT NIGHT
At night place Scar Fx Silicone Sheeting over your clean dry scar. The occlusive barrier provided by the silicone scar sheet helps create an ideal healing environment for your scar.
REJUVASIL DURING THE DAY
During the day apply RejûvaSil Silicone Scar Gel 2-3 times to help maintain the healing environment. RejûvaSil also helps relieve itchiness and discomfort associated with scars.
SCAR ESTHETIQUE FOR DISCOLORATION
Once your scar is flat and smooth, apply Scar Esthetique 3-4 times daily to target remaining discoloration. Many patients see continued results through longterm use of Scar Esthetique.
Scar Heal Breast Kit FAQ's
Each Scar Heal Kit is designed to provide scar management for around 30-45 days. Once your scar is flat and smooth, use Scar Esthetique for any remaining discoloration.
The Scar Heal Kit for breasts is specializes in making scar management as easy as possible. Use breast silicone sheeting at night or while you sleep. Apply the silicone scar gel over your breast scar during the day or when you're most active. Give the gel time to dry before putting on clothes.
You may start seeing results in as little as a few days or few weeks. Remember, scar management takes time, so to maximize results we recommend continuing use until you see no further improvement.
You can clean the two breast sheets with a mild, non-concentrated soap and water. The best method is to lather the soap in your hand and then rub the sheet, gently removing any stuck-on debris.
First, make sure that you have removed both sides of the plastic backing from your sheet. The tacky side can be very difficult to remove. If you need additional sticking power, use the tape provided. Each breast sheet is naturally adhesive, so it will lose tackiness over time.
The best answer is to make sure you choose the breast kit that corresponds to your surgery. The silicone sheet should completely cover your scar and leave 1/4" around the area. You can refer to the sizing chart below to match some of the most common procedures for each sheeting size.
