Liana Reznik, Fancy Shmancy Permanent Makeup Clinic

Liana, founder of Fancy Shmancy, specializes in advanced skin restorative procedures, including:

  • Inkless treatments – a form of microneedling that stimulates collagen production to improve scar and stretch mark texture without pigment.

  • Camouflage tattooing – using precise color implementation to blend scars or skin irregularities with the surrounding skin tone.

For both approaches, she prioritizes gentle, barrier-supportive aftercare.

“We are using Skin Recovery Cream for both procedures. It is our number one solution for aftercare and the results are phenomenal. The color retention is very high for the camouflage procedure. When we use it for the inkless treatments, the skin is smooth, not red and it is hydrated in the correct amount we need.”

Tattoo Aftercare Tips

When can I start using products after my paramedical tattoo?

Aftercare is important for both healing and pigment retention. Most patients can begin using products 3–5 days after the procedure, once the skin has closed, but always follow your technician’s guidance since healing can vary.

Can I moisturize the tattooed area?

Yes — but timing and product choice matter. In the first few days, let the skin close naturally. Once cleared by your technician, a gentle, fragrance-free option like Skin Recovery Cream can ease dryness, flaking, and discomfort while supporting healing.

Why Skin Recovery Cream for my tattoo?

Our Skin Recovery Cream uses a unique blend of key compounds & botanical ingredients that not only make it safe for sensitive skin, but give it a wide variety of benefits.

For tattoos, it’s great at keeping the skin moisturized, aiding in healing and collagen synthesis, and reducing redness and itchiness commonly seen during tattoo healing. This helps maintain the color and quality of your tattoo long-term, ideal for intricate or large designs.

How often should I apply my tattoo cream?

Once the wrapping is off, we recommend applying Skin Recovery Cream regularly throughout the day— ideally about 3-4 times a day, or whenever you feel your tattoo starting to dry out. This will help prevent peeling and itchiness.

Should and can I use sunscreen on my tattoo?

Yes — UV exposure can cause pigment fading or discoloration. Once healed, apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ like our Mineral Facial Sunscreen daily to protect pigment and sensitive skin.

PS. Make sure to avoid direct sun while the area is still healing.

Which products are best used post procedure?

Rejûvaskin offers several dermatologist-formulated options that support both healing and long-term pigment retention:

  • Scar Esthetique: Brightens and softens scar tissue, improving texture and appearance.

Great for Pre-Tattoo Prep!

I use Skin Recovery Cream as an everyday moisturizer for my hands but this time, I used it for pre-tattoo prep… I applied it to the area that was going to be tattooed 3 times a day for a week leading up to the tattoo session. I didn’t bleed AT ALL and even the tattoo artist was impressed.

Unheralded Tattoo Use

More soothing relief, cutting down on peeling and a noticeably brighter & healthier tattoo compared to the common balms used in shops today. No question that this product will continue to be at the top of my list when it comes to tattoo care.
