Frequently Asked Questions
I start radiation soon. When should I apply the cream?
Rejûvaskin Skin Recovery Cream always works best if you start early. We recommend beginning to apply the cream about one week ahead of your first treatment. This will help prepare your skin for radiation and minimize your risk for radiation dermatitis.
Is the Skin Recovery Cream HSA eligible?
The Skin Recovery Cream may be eligible for reimbursement from a health savings account if it is being used for Radiation Dermatitis or Eczema concerns with a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from your physician. You will need to submit this form (which you may request from your HSA service provider), along with your receipt to your HSA Plan provider for reimbursement.
With any HSA, it is important to keep both your receipt and any documentation in case your accountant requests proof. One strong piece of documentation is a note from your physician specifying the medical necessity. We have included a downloadable copy that your healthcare provider can sign here.
Health Savings Accounts and the eligible products allowed under the program are determined by the IRS. You can review their requirements by searching Publication 502.
How do I know it won't irritate my skin further?
Our oncology cream completed testing by an independent lab declaring it safe for sensitive skin and non-irritating. This cream is free from drying alcoholsand 100% of participants reported the cream produced no irritation. It is also approved by The National Eczema Association & The Good Face Project.
How much oncology cream do I need to get through radiation?
Typically, our 3-pack or 5-pack is enough to get you through your treatment. Again, our goal is to prevent any side effects, so if you haven't had any irritation, that's a sign to keep using the product.
Can I apply the radiation relief cream to broken skin?
No. Our oncology cream should be applied to closed skin. You can continue to apply the cream to the surrounding area, but it has no antiseptic properties. If you're skin is broken consult with your physician on what to do next.
Is the Skin Recovery Cream helpful for other concerns?
Our oncology cream was designed with radiation patients in mind. However, we've had positive reports from patients using the skin recovery cream for eczema relief, extreme dry skin, and after-suncare.

Using Rejûvaskin skin recovery cream
"Using Rejûvaskin skin recovery cream during the 5 weeks plus 4 weeks after radiation treatments my skin did not suffer. My skin resembled a sunburned without the burning pain. I was diligent applying your cream 3 to 4 times a day. Two hours before RT, directly after RT, before bed and whenever I felt I was “radiating heat” from my treatment area. Keep up the good work."
My Oncology team provided a
"My Oncology team provided a list of recommended products to treat my skin during radiation therapy. I was already aware of several and researched the rest landing on Rejuvaskin Skin Recovery Cream. I started the skin recovery cream two weeks before radiation and twice a day during. I have completed radiation and will be continuing the twice a day routine as instructed. This cream is not overly heavy and I appreciate the clean ingredients. While my skin did react to radiation the Rejuvaskin Skin Recovery Cream kept the radiation burn to a minimum and eliminated the need for any anti itch creams. My skin at the radiated site is soft and healing well. Very pleased with my decision to use Rejuvaskin Skin Recovery Cream."
awesome
"I am using it for what I believe is a chemical burn on my eyelid. Doctors involved have ignored or made ineffective suggestions. What a relief it is. For the fiat time it is pain free. Thank you so much."
The cream has helped to
"The cream has helped to keep my breast skin soft and avoid burning. I’m thankful for that, but the tub that the cream came in was flawed and I had to remove the top in order to use the cream, this caused the cream to dry out quickly. I wrote yall about this and received know replacement tub for the defected tub."
Using for collateral cancer radiation
"Using for collateral cancer radiation treatment. So far chaffing has been minimal when using the cream. So happy with your product. Thank you."
Only think that worked
"I Had tried a petroleum jelly type treatment for the burns during radiation, but the burns got so bad that I had to stop treatment. I was given samples of rejuvaskin and ordered a container and the burns started healing within two days and I was able to finish my treatments."
It was very helpful while
"It was very helpful while getting radiation treatment on skin cancer!"
Soft, non-greasy after radiation moisturizer
"I really like this cream. I used it 3 times a day during my 5 weeks of radiation, especially for moisturizing, in combination of a prescription cream, pure aloe vera and Polymem pads. I still use the cream daily and it's a wonderful non-greasy moisturizer and healing cream. The only negative that I experienced was, that 3 out of 8 tubes I purchased, the caps broke off in the first couple of days of use. That's a problem if you want to take it in your bag, which I did during radiation. (I used it immediately after treatment for relief)"

Q&A
- Is this safe for babies on their face, near the mouth area?
- The product has been tested for safety, but has not been specifically evaluated for pediatric use. While we are aware of many younger patients using this product successfully, we would encourage you to confirm with your child's pediatrician if you have any concerns. Specifically, with regard to your question about the application area, please note that the product is NOT indicated for use close to the eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes, and is not to be ingested.
- Can you use the skin recovery cream as just an all over body moisturizer, without having any skin issues?
- Hi Rosalie, our Skin Recovery Cream has been dermatologist tested for all skin types including sensitive skin and there were no negative skin reactions reported. It is safe and gentle enough to use all over the body including the face.
- I have hand-foot syndrome from my chemotherapy. I am looking for a hand cream that is anti inflammatory, in addition to moisturizing. Would this lotion help with red, inflamed palms? I'm not sure if there are enough anti inflammatory ingredients in it.
- We have not specifically tested our products for hand-foot syndrome. We recommend focusing on the active, effective levels of ingredients rather than just the number of ingredients listed, as that’s what really impacts performance. Our Skin Recovery Cream is designed to support the skin barrier and provide soothing hydration, which may help with dryness and discomfort. However, for inflammation related to hand-foot syndrome, we always suggest consulting your care team as well. If you do decide to try it, we’d love to hear how the Skin Recovery Cream works for you!
- Is this cream good for skin on decolletage that was treated with cryotherapy for precancerous lesions?
- Hi Sue! What a great question! If the skin is fully healed, the cream will help with hydration and fortifying the skin barrier repair. However, it’s best to consult your dermatologist before applying anything to recently treated or sensitive areas.
- Can this cream be used for a 2 year old? On the back of the tube in printed writing it says not to be used for under 3 years old.
- Hi there, thank you for reaching out! Both are safe for children. Out of abundant caution, our packaging originally refrained from making claims for children. We since have conducted in vivo tests and can make claims, including Pediatrician tested. We are in the process of updating our packaging to reflect. We apologize for the confusion and please reach out to our customer service team if you have any additional questions!
